Blackview Active 12 Pro 12GB RAM 16GB

Blackview Active 12 Pro in Kenya

The Blackview Active 12 Pro is arguably the most ambitious rugged tablet to reach the Kenyan market and it earns that title with a world-first feature: a built-in 200-lumen, 1080p autofocus projector capable of throwing a 120-inch image. Launched in August 2025, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G chip, carries a 30,000mAh battery with 120W charging, and holds IP69/MIL-STD-810H rugged certifications. At the same time it is rated for drops from 12 metres. Whether you are a field engineer, outdoor professional, or someone who simply refuses to carry a laptop and a separate projector, the Active 12 Pro is a serious piece of kit. Compare it against the Blackview Mega 8 or Blackview Mega 3 if you need a large-screen tablet without the rugged premium.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Does the Blackview Active 12 Pro projector work in daylight?
At 200 lumens, the projector is best used in low-light or dark environments. In a dimly lit room it can project up to 120 inches clearly. Direct sunlight will wash out the image.

Q2. Can the Active 12 Pro charge other devices?
Yes – the 30,000mAh battery supports reverse OTG charging, allowing you to use the tablet as a power bank for phones and accessories.

Q3. Is it heavy?
At 1,522g (about 3.4 lbs), it is significantly heavier than a standard tablet. This is the trade-off for the rugged build, huge battery, and integrated projector. It is not designed to be held for long periods like a consumer tablet.

Q4. Does the Active 12 Pro support 5G in Kenya?
Yes, the Dimensity 7300 supports Sub-6GHz 5G bands. Compatibility with Safaricom 5G depends on band support – check band specifications against Safaricom’s current 5G frequencies before purchasing.
